My design philosophy is simple – I want to create the best end-to-end experience for users. The best experience includes building scalable, accessible, and consistent designs that help users accomplish tasks and solve problems. This "best experience" should leave the user feeling positive about their experience within our product.
Scalable designs are critically important to helping reduce design and technical debt. Scalable doesn't only mean that designs are codified in a design system but that the designs anticipate future cases and problems.
Accessible designs are import to making a product successful across a wide group of users and not just abled users. The best part about accessible designs – they're better designs and more intuitive.
Consistent design, is not only about designs being consistent – though that is a critical part of a growing and successful design organization. Consistent design means that the user, based on established paradigms, can accurately determine what will happen when an action is taken – no surprises, no "oh $#!?" moments. When we approach design from an object oriented perspective, this consistency becomes second nature.

I'm an Arkansas native which is where I grew up and went to school. I moved to Texas a few years ago and have loved being here ever since. I love doing things outside: fishing, camping, backpacking, cycling, tennis, soccer, snowboarding etc... This unfortunately does mean that I have not leveled up other popular skills like cooking.
